NEW EP – ‘ONNA’
Formidable chanteuse, auteure, compositrice et multi-instrumentiste, ERIKA a émergé de la scène londonnienne et japonnaise en gardant le meilleur de ces influences.
Artisane d’une musique pop, belle et innovatrice, ERIKA passe de la tristesse et le désespoir à la joie et l’espérance, parfois dans une même chanson, avec beaucoup d’intelligence et de sensibilité.
Sa voix a également attiré l’attention de plusieurs artistes connus. Elle a fait la tournée mondiale de MIKA, en tant que choriste, elle a accompagné SKUNK ANANSIE aux claviers et aux choeurs, sur sa récente tournée européenne. ERIKA a été recemment invitée à enregistrer 2 titres avec les n°1 anglais BASTILLE et ELLA EYRE.
ERIKA aime aussi collaborer avec des designers et artistes d’autres horizons. Elle a travaillé notamment avec le designer japonais Avant-Garde KEI KAGAMMI. En s’inspirant des robes de l’artiste, sa robe en “velcro” sera décorée chaque soir par le public, avec un “final” qui, grâce à une ceinture et de longues franges, reliera l’artiste et le public pour ne faire plus q’UN !
L’EP d’ERIKA “Onna” a été enregistré en Lettonie, en utilisant différents instruments et sons comme des chaussures à claquettes, flight cases, des boomwackers (tubes musicaux), vieux orgues et pianos.
Une ambiance particulière à découvrir absolument !
ERIKA is set to release her new EP through Pledge Music on the 29th of January 2016.
The ‘Onna’ EP was recorded in Latvia with Instrumenti (Shipsi & Reynsi) and sound engineer and co-producer Gatis Zatik using a variety of instruments such as tap shoes, flight cases, zips, boom whackers and old organs and pianos. The EP features five tracks including the recent ‘Fly Away Bird’ release, a remix of ‘Pop’ by Hatcham Social and the forthcoming single ‘Kryptonite’ which is due for release in December 2015.

A truly great singer - songwriter and multi instrumentalist, ERIKA emerged from a life coloured by the musical corners of London and Japan. Crafting beautiful and innovative pop, the mood can switch from haunting to joyous and from hope to despair from verse to verse.
Her voice has also caught the attention of some very established artists. She toured with MIKA as his backing singer, provided backing vocals and keyboards for Skunk Anansie on their recent European Tour and also recently recorded a guest vocal on two tracks with #1 UK artist, Bastille and Ella Eyre.
ERIKA also likes to collaborate with designers and artists. She has collaborated with Avant-Garde Japanese designer, Kei Kagammi. The dress he made brought her ideas to light. The dress using YKK cosmolon Velcro would be designed every night by the crowd. With the finale being a belt that attached to one hundred and twenty people spanning ten metres, bringing the audience and artist, together, as one.
Having completed some European live date of her own, ERIKA late last year she plays a handful of shows to coincide with the release of her EP.
